  Abstract

이성분계 전해질을 이용한 리튬 이온 2차 전지는 실온에서 우수한 에너지 밀도와 싸이클 성능을 갖 는다. 그러나 이성분계 전해질들은 저온에서 급격한 용량 손실과 싸이클 수명을 저하시키는 단점을 안고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 저온에서의 방전용량과 싸이클 수명을 향상시키기 위하여 EC와 DEC 혼합용매에 EA 를 첨가하여 시간대 전압법, 이온 전도도 측정법, 순환 전압-전류법, 임피던스법, 그리고 선형 주사 전위법을 통하여 저온 특성에 대한 실험을 수행하였다. 1M LiP6/EC:DEC:EA(4:3:3, 부피비) 삼성분계 전해질은 충전하 는 동안 탄소 전극표면에 완전한 피막을 형성시켜 리튬과의 반응을 억제 시키며, 제 3의 용매로 선택된 EA의 낮은 녹는점을 갖는 물성 때문에 저온에서 전해질의 이온 전도성 저하를 막아준다. 이 시스템을 이용한 전기 화학적 실험결과 상온뿐만 아니라 저온에서도 우수한 방전용량을 나타냄을 관찰할 수 있었고, 첨가된 ethyl acetate는 리튬 이온 전지의 저온특성을 향상시킬 수 있는 좋은 첨가제 임을 알수 있었다. The commercialized lithium ion secondary batteries using binary mixtures as co-solvent of electrolyte ha O an excellent energy density and cycle performance at room temperature. However, one of disadvantages related to the use of the binary mixtures as co-solvents of electrolyte was capacity fade and cycle life loss of the battery at low temperature. The effect of adding ethyl acetate as 3rd solvent having a low melting point and low viscosity to enhanced discharge capacity and cycle life were examined at the low temperature. Studies on low-temperature properties of electrolyte were investigated by using chronpotentiometry, ionic conductivity, cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, and linear sweep voltammetry. In 1M LiP6/EC:DEC:EA(4:3:3, v/v) electrolyte added EA as 3rd solvent, the reaction with Li by forming the perfect film on the surface of the carbon anode during charging was restrained and the reduction of ionic conductivity due to low melting point at the low temperature was prevented. Therefore, the electrochemical experiments using this system proved that the electrolyte showed the excellent discharge capacity regardless of the temperature and ethyl acetate was good additives to improve the properties of low temperature in Li ion battery.
